Google’s upcoming Google Pixel 8 Series smartphones has started emerging ahead of their imminent launch. Actually, these smartphones are going to be released next month on 4th October. It is worth noting that Android 14 may make its debut on the same day. In anticipation of the launch of the new series, some informed sources have taken to Twitter to reveal the expected price in the UK and US. This allows us to gain some insight into potential pricing for the Indian market.
According to the insights shared by Roland Quandt, a reputable source from WinLatest, the anticipated price for the Google Pixel 8 Series in the UK is approximately 699 GBP, translating to around Rs 70,919. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be priced at 999 GBP, roughly Rs 1,01,356.
Similarly, Kamila, a reliable tipster, has provided price estimates for the US market. The Pixel 8 is projected to have a price tag of $699, which translates to about Rs 58,000, while the Pixel 8 Pro may retail for $899, approximately Rs 75,000. Notably, the company is introducing the base model at a $100 premium compared to previous releases. Consequently, the expected price range for these phones in India falls between Rs 68,000 and Rs 85,000.
Both the Google Pixel 8 Series Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will feature Google’s in-house Tensor G3 chipset, accompanied by the Titan M2 security processor. Additionally, these smartphones are anticipated to sport a 10.5MP front-facing camera. In the case of the Pixel 8 Pro, a 6.7-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display is expected. Interestingly, the company might also introduce a non-Pro variant with a matching 120Hz refresh rate. As with the preceding series, both phones are likely to be available with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM.
Turning our attention to the camera capabilities, the Pixel 8 will house a dual-camera setup comprising a 50MP primary shooter and a 12MP ultrawide lens. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro is anticipated to boast a triple-camera configuration, potentially featuring a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP telephoto lens offering 5x zoom, and an upgraded 48MP ultrawide sensor. Storage options for the base variant may include 128GB and 256GB, while the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to offer multiple configurations, including a capacious 512GB option. Furthermore, it’s possible that a 1TB storage variant will be made available in the US market.
